Terms of service

These terms cover your use of Neel Academy (“the service”). By using it, you agree to them.

What the service is

The service is an independent tutoring tool: recorded and computer-voiced lessons, practice problems, and an AI tutor you can ask questions. It is not a college or university, is not affiliated with any school, and does not award credit, grades, certificates or degrees.

Who can use it

You must be 14 or older. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms, create or approve your account, and is responsible for any purchase. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in and any access code we give you private.

AI answers can be wrong

The tutor uses AI models. We compute numbers with tested code and check lessons before publishing, but answers can still be incomplete or wrong. Check important results, and follow your instructor and course materials if they differ. Nothing on the service is financial, investment, legal or tax advice.

Academic integrity

You agree to follow the honor code and your school's rules. Don't use the service to complete graded work you're not permitted to get help with.

Founding access and payments

Founding access to a path includes each of its modules as they release. Release dates are estimates. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of payment by emailing us.

Fair use

To keep the service fast and affordable, the tutor has daily question limits. Don't try to disrupt the service, extract its content in bulk, or misuse it to produce harmful material.

Our content

Lessons, problems and site design belong to us or our licensors. Some lessons draw on openly licensed textbooks, credited where used. You may use the service for your own study.

Limits of liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms and will post the new date here. Material changes will be emailed to paying students.
